Unless you’re a wedding planning pro, co-ordinating your wedding décor can be a little tricky. Chair covers, centre pieces, flowers, table plans, place cards – there’s so much to think about! And of course, you want your guests to be wowed when they enter the room. So, we asked some of our recommended suppliers for their expert advice on colour, theme and attention to detail.
Posh Chair Covers and Bows
This may sound a little obvious, but in this instance, size does matter… Make sure your chair cover fits your venue’s chairs. It should match their table linen too.
Try before you buy and always endeavour to meet with all your suppliers before the wedding. Make sure you comfortable with them and their product.
Every picture tells a story. Does the supplier have a portfolio or photography of their previous work?
Noble Fine Art
It takes longer than you think to get everything finalised, so start chatting with your stationer at least 6 months before your wedding.
Take into account singles, couples and families when counting up. If you have 100 guests, you might only need 50 invitations. Remember to order a couple of extras in case you get any refusals – and you might want a keepsake too!
Always see and feel the quality of stationery before ordering by requesting samples.
Coco Luminaire (Lighting)
Keep your photographer in the loop. Let them know which props you’ve hired to make the most of photo opportunities. It works really well when you allocate 5 minutes for photos with props when your guests are not around.
Picture your wedding venue dressed for your big day. What space is available? If there’s lots, large illuminated words can look amazing. If you have a lot of guests you might choose smaller letters or other props.
