Real Wedding: Beth & Mark’s Pre-Wedding Celebrations

By 28th December 2018 No Comments

Pre-Wedding Celebrations

On July 20th 2018, Mark Antonopoulos married Beth Douglass in an exquisite Wedding at Wynyard Hall. Prior to that, Mark & Beth invited their closest family and friends to a pre-wedding celebration in the Glasshouse. Giving them the opportunity to unwind before the big day and catch up with their nearest and dearest before the main event!

Showing guests all that Wynyard Hall has to offer, the couple created a mini-staycation with all accommodation and food provided. Their lucky guests were only required to show up, relax and enjoy. After all, why should weddings pass by in a blur? Slow down, look up and create memories with the people that matter most at Wynyard Hall.

PARTY IN THE GLASSHOUSE

The evening before the wedding provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate with 65 of the couples closest friends and family. Taking full advantage of the long, summer evening, guests arrived at Wynyard Hall’s Glasshouse to party the night away.

Adorned with plants and herbs from Wynyard Hall’s edible garden, the bride and groom brought the outside into the Glasshouse. It was the perfect summer evening! Guests enjoyed the late summer sun outdoors with glasses of rosé in the gardens surrounding. Wynyard Hall’s “Walled Garden” is the epitome of beauty. With vivid flowerbeds and over 3,000 stunning roses, highlighted with graceful water features and meandering paths. Dating back to 1822, this stunning location provided the perfect backdrop to an evening filled with laughter, excitement and joy.

Adding to the relaxed atmosphere of their pre-wedding celebrations, Jess Avison serenaded guests with her stunning vocals and guitar. Stomachs were kept full with delicious homemade wood-fired pizzas provided by York Pizza Company.

Mark and Beth enjoyed time with their family and friends as they socialised, danced and drank the evening away. Incorporating each and every guest into the festivities, the couple created a photo wall with special memories of each guest. This added to the entertainment and sparked more special memories with the bride and groom.

FAMILY TIME

Guests and relatives travelled from around the world, including Greece and as far as America, so having some extra time to spend with those closest was important to both the bride and groom. ‘We knew how hectic our wedding day would be, so having some time the day before to celebrate with our closest friends and family made our celebration even more special,’ said Mark.
‘It meant, we could really relax and enjoy ourselves with all our favourite people, it was one of our favourite things about our wedding,’ added Beth.

As the sun set and the evening drew to a close, guests continued the party in Wynyard Hall’s private cottages. Each of Wynyard Hall’s countryside cottages boasts an attractive design with beautiful accents of furniture, providing a spacious, comfortable retreat. Equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, multiple bedrooms and an outdoor hot tub, the cottages offered the ideal accommodation for Mark and Beth’s special celebration.

Inspiration for Pre-Wedding Celebrations

Mark and Beth took full advantage of the Wynyard Estate for their pre-wedding celebrations. As well as a beautiful party in the Glasshouse, they invited some guests to join them earlier in the day as the girls headed off to the Spa and the boys ventured out into the Parkland for a spot of Clay Pigeon Shooting.

Other brides and grooms have enjoyed Afternoon Tea in the Library with their family and friends. Or an evening meal the night before in the Wellington Restaurant or a private dining room. In the Summer, The Gardens offer an exquisite setting for Pre-Wedding Celebrations, with cocktails and canapes in the Visitors Centre and access to The Gardens. The possibilities are endless!
