The Farm Shop is brimming with new spring produce, discover all kinds of artisan, organic and locally sourced treats. Whether you just need something for tea, are stocking up on kitchen cupboard essentials, or are planning a more formal dinner party, the Farm Shop has everything you need for inspirational dining.
As one of the most popular Afternoon Tea venues in the North East, naturally we have a thing for fine tea. We now stock an exquisite range of traditional, flavoured and loose leaf blends from Newby Teas of London. The luxury brand shares our passion for quality and taste, and has won more than 135 awards to date, from the Global Tea Championship to the Great Taste Awards. Each blend is made from the best leaves, picked during prime harvest season, and is meticulously packed to preserve the flavour. The items are beautifully packaged too, making them lovely little treats for yourself or well-presented gifts for someone special.
Organic, Health and Superfoods
We were thrilled to open the Edible Garden in 2016, as part of our journey to become more sustainable. In keeping with this, we now stock a bigger, better range of health food products. New this season, we have Hebe superfood smoothies and Jeeva products – organic virgin coconut oil, cream and flour, plus coconut water. We also stock a range of organic cooking sauces and gluten-free supplies.
Did you know Britain now has more breweries per capita than any other country, and the number of British gin distilleries has doubled in the last few years? With the issues surrounding Brexit, there is no better time to show more support for local businesses. We carefully select our Farm Shop suppliers, and are proud to work with independent farmers and producers from the North East and Yorkshire. We now stock honey from The Honey B Company, who have hives spread across farmland in North Yorkshire, County Durham and Northumberland. You’ll also find English Heather Honey and soft set blends from The Honey Store.
Artisan Spirits, Craft Beers and Ciders
No meal is complete without the perfect tipple. Pop in and browse an impressive selection of gin from the finest independent and regional distilleries, plus vodka and flavoured liqueurs. We also have organic vintage cider from Ashridge, which is oozing with deep, fruity flavours and is produced in old orchards in Devon. You’ll also find craft beers and ale from Three Brother’s Brewery, and a selection of fine wines and fizz.
The Farm Shop is open daily, 10am – 4pm. Pop in, even if you’re not visiting The Gardens.
There is free parking directly outside, and a warm welcome awaits! Don’t forget to visit The Glasshouse too.
