Supporting families affected by Autism

This year, Wynyard Hall’s chosen charity is Daisy Chain, a local charity that helps more than 1,800 families affected by Autism in the Tees Valley area.

We will be working in partnership with the team from Daisy Chain to help raise awareness of Autism and the affect it can have on individuals and families, as well as to raise funds.

Daisy Chain was established as a charity in 2003 as the dream of its founder, Lesley Hanson, whose son Jacob was diagnosed with autism at an early age.

Daisy Chain sees on average 611 children per week, which together with immediate family members, sees Daisy Chain supporting 1,841 individuals per week.

2,761 education provision hours are provided each quarter.

293 children affected by ASD are given respite care each week at Daisy Chain.

More information about our support plan for Daisy Chain will be posted shortly.
