Blooms & Bubbly

2pm - 6pm Wednesday 24th March 2010
£30.00 per person
This event was such a success last year that we suggest you reserve your place as soon as possible.
Enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival and make yourself comfortable in time for the floral demonstration by the
Wild Bunch, who will be offering tips and advice on creating spectacular seasonal arrangements for your home.
Established by its owner Lisa Mitchinson in 1996 Sunderland based Wild Bunch has grown to be the most successfully recognised florist in the North of England. The unique and distinctive style of their arrangements has attracted some of the celebrity weddings featured in OK magasine; they have also been appointed to do
the flowers for the Queen on four occasions.
Following the demo, a delicious homemade afternoon tea will be served in our stunning Conservatory.
Freshly made sandwiches, mouth-watering cakes and pastries and homemade scones with cream and preserves all served with your choice of tea and coffee.
Tricia Stewart - the original Calendar Girl played by Helen Mirren in the film - will then join us to share her amasing story. Tricia's Alternative WI Calendar featuring eleven women aged between 45 and 65 was launched in April 1999 and sold over 300,000 copies worldwide raising nearly a million pounds for LRF.
To complete the event we will be joined by a representative from Bare Minerals, who will share some tips on using this fabulous make up. Free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance and other harmful chemicals, Bare Minerals provides impeccable coverage for every skin type, skin tone, and concern yet it doesn't feel like you're wearing any makeup at all. It is complimented by a range of colour cosmetics and treatments designed to enhance your natural beauty. You will also have an opportunity to purchase Bare Minerals make-up on the day.
