The History Of The Wellington…

Diners at The Wellington follow in some rather illustrious footsteps. Over the years, Wynyard Hall has welcomed numerous heads of state, literary giants, and members of the Royal family. However, one distinguished guest visited more frequently than most.

The Duke of Wellington, hero of Waterloo and friend of the Londonderry family, was a regular dinner guest at Wynyard Hall and is the inspiration behind The Wellington, which has been awarded two AA Rosettes.
